(Sam) Marvin Clayson of Lake Shore, Utah passed away February 20, 2012 of natural causes. He was born on July 21, 1935 in Lake Shore, Utah to Heber and Hattie Clayson.
He married Janice Hansen on July 15, 1959 in Eureka, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple. They are the parents of Dana (Lars) Woolsey, Blake (Sandy) Clayson, Stacy Glause, Sam (Suzy) Clayson; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by sister Joyce (Mark) Lewis. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and nine brothers.
Sam had a love for horses his entire life - chariot races, flat track, 4-H, etc. He especially enjoyed watching his grandkids compete in rodeo and sports. He was a member of The Diamond Fork Riding Club. Sam was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3, working most of his life running heavy equipment.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Shore Ward Chapel, 5916 South 3200 West, Lake Shore, Utah. Family and friends may call on Wednesday evening, February 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah and on Thursday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
