Clark "Bun" Simons Taylor, 57, of Spanish Fork, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 17, 2012, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 24, 1954, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Kenneth Lee and Anna June Simons Taylor.

Clark graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1972 where he participated in baseball and basketball. He went on to play college basketball at the Trade Tech. Clark met the love of his life, Julie Ann Jessen, and they were married on August 2, 1980. They are the parents of five children: Zachery Jessen (Heide) Taylor, Samuel Jessen (Rachel) Taylor, Kasey Ann (Mitch) Simmons, Daniel Jessen Taylor, and Jessie Lynn (Jed) Corless. They are the grandparents of Kaden, Brookelyn, and Ashlyn Simmons, and Easton and Libberty Taylor.

Clark worked at US Steel for 26 years as a Mill Wright. He had many talents which included mechanics, carpentry, and welding; he could fix anything. Clark had many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, camping, restoring old Chevy trucks, and spending time with his family. He had a beautiful voice and was often called upon to sing for others. Clark loved being in the mountains, especially Strawberry Valley. His grandkids were the highlight of his life. He had a charismatic personality and developed many friendships throughout his life. Clark was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was often serving others his with many talents and skills.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his siblings Laura Bridges, Earl (Sheri) Taylor, Neil (Susan) Taylor, Ann Elmer, and Ray (Natalie) Taylor.

Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Center as well as the nurses from the IHC Hospice Home Health. Dad will be forever loved, missed, and always remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork onThursday, February 23, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, at 1006 E. 200 South, Spanish Fork Stake Center, at 11:00 am. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made at any Zion's Bank.
